Quite happy that there was no "How has this shaped your personal response?" rubbish, but I wasn't expecting that they would all be essays. I generally find it better to cope with the monotony if one of the text types is novel, like an interview transcript or something.
Technically to be awarded an HSC you must "make a serious attempt," so by not attempting an exam, they are risking their entire HSC. Likely nothing along those lines will happen, how do they know it isn't a serious attempt?
Much of the Imagery was talking about Charles Darwin, the namesake of the NT city of Darwin, i.e. Galapogas was where he supposedly formulated his theory, he travelled upon a ship called the Beagle etc. I wrote that it was metaphor for how the town has "evolved".
