It's just mind games which sucks but also means it's somewhat 'fixable'. Here's a few suggestions I have - obviously they won't work for everyone, but they're worth a try =)

Less screens before bed / herbal tea / less harsh light / etc. before bed to increase how sleepy you are...
The best way I practise that is to make up a bunch of practise questions (assuming that my teacher's haven't given me ones already, if they have then just use those) and then do a practise exam - or at least plan out to a bunch of different questions how you would adapt your essay if you don't...

Because I do distance education for maths it's basically the main way I learn new content, and I find it to be really useful. There are interactive parts which is good too. Watch it on 2x speed though unless you're having a lot of trouble understanding the content. Definitely give it a shot.
i always write notes in the form of a basic outline of the concept and some worked examples that i can refer back to whenever i get stuck on a question, but everyone remembers and studies for maths differently
hiii, i do standard maths as well and while i find it pretty easy, often i'll blank in exams. I prefer to have worked examples on my cheat sheet or a simple step-by-step of how to do something so that if i panic or keep second guessing myself then i have a really easy way to take myself through...
agreed, wait till your first assessments are over and see how you manage your time before you even think about what to drop, and dont make any final decisions until your year 11 finals (unless you're like 100 percent sure)
