dr_pete, you don't get paid for any clinical placements at any time during the degree. Re. patient contact; you do get some patient contact right off the bat. In 1st year, depending on your clinical coach, you might go once every couple of weeks to see real patients - otherwise you practice...

It's referring to Carbon-12 (the most common isotope of Carbon) -- 1 mole of carbon-12 = 12grams of carbon-12

I thought the exam went well, a couple of interesting questions, overall should be a good mark though. It was a little too easy in the first half, I was hoping for some of my pet questions.

mmm 70+, was going well towards 76+ until Q 7 and part of 6 really. Not bad though, not bad.

From what I understand, it's usually high 60s/84, so if you get 70/84, you're pretty safe, maybe its arguable that this years exam was slightly harder or longer or whatever, so you never know, could be as low as 65/84, could be as high as 70/84

^^ source?? the Jeff Geha book, which cites the board of studies says the average from 1988 to 2000 inclusive is around 59/120 -- with a max of 73.83 in 1999 and a min of 46.74 in 1993. So it's usually around 60/120 -- for this paper, I don't know, it got abstract and tough, I don't think...
