    Physio @ Cumberland

the other thing is that doing the 'post-grad' physio after exercise and sport science is a bit of a bitch financially. You've already paid heaps in fees to do sport science, then the extra 2 years for graduate physio is about another $28 000. (which is the cost of 4 years of undergrad physio).

    Physiotherapy

yeah, you really never know. in 2005 it did drop by more than 2 points from the previous year which was weird and surprising.

1st yr physio 2nd semester txtbooks

thats not a physio subject, right? cos never heard of it before and wouldnt have clue about textbook. yeah- seeley and palastanga is all you really need. maybe an anatomy colouring in book as well- i hear they're effective

    physiotheraphy

physio is good- its a lot of content, but its not too difficult to grasp. if you get the 96 UAI or whatever it is thats needed- then you'll be able to handle it. but its definitely not a bludge. http://www.fhs.usyd.edu.au/phy/fstudent/undergrad/admission_info.shtml

Grammar help with 'le' and the like

check with your teacher- but in my opinion: 'en' is when youre talking about some. and 'le/la/les' is talking about the actual thing. so- tu veux du sucre? Oui, j'en veux. Tu veux le lait? Oui, je le veux.

Dear god, put your phones on silent.

yeah- talking's probably worse than phones, cos it can just drag on whereas phone gets turned off. we were in a really dull lecture the other day, then this phone went off and ringtone was ridiculous sound of a dog barking to one of beethoven's symphonies. welcome relief from lecturer's...

    Work + Uni

would not recommend it, but atm: 4 days a week of uni working: 5 mornings coaching sport, 4 nights a week at a pub = 39 hours of stress. still at home but oh so close to youth allowance and moving out- so close! making: $500 approx a week.

    Pulse oximeter help

we used one yesterday at uni to monitor a patient's SpO2% during exercise testing. if her % went below 85 we were meant to stop the test. very non-invasive- you can put it on your finger while you're walking and keep doing the test.

    Physiotherapy Textbooks

greetings 1st year physio- welcome to the fold. in 1st year we didnt didnt need to buy extra textbooks between 1st semester and 2nd semester. except you'll need a biomechanics B textbook but its only $15 or something. in 2nd year- 1st semester was awesome and we barely needed any textbooks...

    Campus rewards

    class timetables

you can try and change your timetable- esp if your reason is work. i did it last year. there'll be a uni email or a note on the timetable unit page about when and where to go to change your timetable and its not too hard. yeah- 8am parking spots are far more plentiful than 9 or 10am. its...

    Sports at Cumberland?

yeah- i heard quite a bit about the cumbo men's rugby team in 2005. i think thats the only cumbo team that competes outside of uni games. (if it still exists after VSU- i didnt hear anything about it last year) the other sports teams have tryouts a few weeks before uni games- but im pretty...

    What's your sexuality?

i would say if youre going to an all-girls school, dont hook up with anyone from there- you dont need the scandal or the distraction from your studies. just wait till uni and let loose then. my girlfriend went to nsghs. one of her friends came out in yr.8 or something and was bullied heaps.

    physiotherapy or occupational therapy???

yeah i do physio and would choose it any day over OT too. physio is like- working in hospitals or private practice, and rehabilitating people to strengthen their muscles, or treat their back ache or shoulder injuries or whatever. Prescribing exercises, doing massages, playing with machines...
