    failed units

My friend has failed 400746 two, maybe three, times. But in Autumn semester of second year, she would have taken: Medical-Surgical Nursing 1 (because she passed 400745) Understanding Good Health Nursing and Healthy Communities Evidence-Based Nursing 1

    failed units

SOURCE Basically, if you don't pass the units, you don't get the credit points (or the acknowledgement that you have achieved the assumed knowledge) and can't graduate. You must consider the fact that there are other students in your position, who also have to repeat these units at some...

    failed units

I would definitely recommend that you retake those units in Autumn 2010 (along with the other two second year Autumn units), rather than at the end of your degree. From my personal experience, the work in subsequent units does heavily rely on the knowledge base formed in 400745 & 400746 and...

    Timetable Clashes

Thanks for your advice. I emailed the particular unit coordinator, who told me I needed to see an administrative officer on campus. Hopefully everything will get sorted out, lol.

    Timetable Clashes

Tutorial Registration was an absolute disaster for me this morning and I've ended up with some clashes. Who should I contact to help me fix my timetable?

    podcasts?

You're doing Nursing, right? Because they just haven't uploaded them yet. I'm pretty sure that once they do upload them it will be exactly the same as downloading a Word, Powerpoint, or PDF file from vUWS. I'm getting rather impatient having to wait this long for them, lol. Hope that helps! :)

    Creating Timetable

Provided everything goes to plan tomorrow with my tutorial registration, I'll have a very reasonable three-day week. No more four- and five-day weeks for me! :)

    Who has bought their textbooks??

It sucks, doesn't it. The textbooks that you absolutely need are labelled 'textbook', so you only need to purchase the first book on that list. The 'reference' books are not essential but helpful, and will most likely be on course reserve if you feel the need to refer to it.

    Who has bought their textbooks??

When the Co-Op covered booksales at UWS there was a textbook scholarship where recipients recieved $50 to "cover" the costs of textbooks and stationary (mentioned here). I have no idea whether there is going to be a similar scheme under ConnectBooks. Most textbooks are on course reserve, but...

    Who has bought their textbooks??

Just so you know, the library has last year's unit outlines uploaded here, but they probably will be slightly different as adjustments are made to units based on student feedback. If you're just looking for an idea of what sort of subject matter you'll be covering, that's a good way to go about...

    Who has bought their textbooks??

Well, actually, I chose to purchase all of my textbooks on my first day so I even had the ones I didn't need for that day. Plus, being nursing texts they were huge. I was thankful that I managed to get a lift home and didn't have to drag them on the two-hour train trip home. But I guess it...

    Who has bought their textbooks??

I lugged all my textbooks around campus on my first day last year and looked like such an idiot because I kept dropping them everywhere. FAIL.

    Who has bought their textbooks??

Not me, I'm still waiting for one more booklist to be released so I can get all my books delivered together. God, I wish I had my P's.

    2009 UWS Chatter Thread

Re: General chit chat/get to know thread. Oh, wow. I'll try and come up with some, haha. Download the UWS Nursing Style Guide and try to get APA referencing down. If you get it right, there's five marks right there. I'd put up a link for you to download it, but I only have a hard copy at...

    2009 UWS Chatter Thread

Re: General chit chat/get to know thread. *waves* I'm Charlotte, doing the second year of my Nursing degree at Bankstown (and hopefully Parramatta later in Spring). I'll admit it, I'am rather shy, but I'll try and say a bit more on here this year.
