Wow really? That gives me some hope! I didn't think my school rank would affect my atar so drastically? How hard is it to achieve an atar of above 70 though? Are band 4s enough?
Dead serious! People at my school perform really well and we're not even a selective school! But as an individual, I'm doing average if not a tad bit lower and like I said, I slacked of after the trials and have been cramming every single exam sooooo... Yeahhh... :S
My gut instinct tells me that I did really poorly in the HSC. I'm trying to get an ATAR of 72 but I know that the cut off changes each year and I'm worried that it will go up this year (environmental biology @uts)! I went to my year advisor who is really accurate when it comes to estimating...
Hahaha you silly child! Obviously you have to know the song well! Not saying I've tried it or anything because I HATE classical music. My friends and legal teacher said that whatever you're trying to memorise get's "imbedded" into the tune of the song and when you're asked a similar question...

So, I used to be pretty good in prelim legal (ranked 5/78). But since then, I've lost interest in the subject and I had my heart set on dropping it from the start of year 12, hence, I'm totally not prepared for my half yearlies which is tomorrow (cramming tonight). My rank will definitely drop...
Remember school assessments are only worth 50% of your HSC mark. It's still early so you can always climb back up in ranking.

ALL year 11 and year 12 essays require you to compare texts, so obviously you have to compare the texts anyway.
Normally you pick a theme for your essay. E.g. Voice. Then you choose the characters that help illustrate your argument. You can also compare the character's different point of view...
