Reckon I'll get into a BA here?

This is very interesting, Lynch (1996) as cited by Waxler (2004) stated that grade advanced students form two social groups as you have, between the same age students and the older students, you might be interested in Waxler's (2004) comment concerning this: If the gifted students form two...

how hard is it to get into UWS?

I'm not entirely sure the whole people getting into to 70-80 atar courses with an atar 50-60 isn't an urban myth. I'd like to hear some primary sources. On a side note, if you go into a course with a higher atar than the cuttoff the chances are you'll be in the running for a few...

    Penrith vs Bankstown Campus

Take a look at Australian society 50 years ago, sexism, racism and general prejudice were much more prevalent than today, I would call this a 'win' for social progression. I think your getting confused between the prevalence and the existence of these things, sure there will always be racism...

    Penrith vs Bankstown Campus

What a wishy washy relativistic, limp-wristed thing to say. In any society there are things that should be tolerated and things that should not be - Racism, rape, murder, pedophilia etc. are some of the things that should never be tolerated.

    Penrith vs Bankstown Campus

Can't you see that by doing this your in effect condoning the continuation of racism, your focus shouldn't be on keeping the racist comfortable it should be on removing their racism. Racism should have no place in any free equal human society. "what is the chance that a racist forced to be in...

    Penrith vs Bankstown Campus

Than why do you advocate avoiding a university campus because of the presence of a racial group?

    Penrith vs Bankstown Campus

I’m going to be honest here ok? If you judge people you don’t know based on stereotypes of their race, you are an idiotic pathetic hate-filled bigot. I would suggest you mix with a wider variety of races (beyond fleeting contact), you'll quickly realise people are people regardless of...

    Penrith vs Bankstown Campus

Seeing as your a psych student I would also recommend Bankstown, it's where psych is centralised so more of the units are put on there. It's a fairly small campus (less walking yay!) and has a particular charm to it that I find appealing. Don't get me wrong Penrith is nice too (My Mum...

Reckon I'll get into a BA here?

Hey Nuclear I thought I would throw my two cents in here. Accelerated learning approaches are generally accepted as a valid means of educating gifted students and much of the literature indicates that students whom are advanced forward a grade are not significantly disadvantaged socially or...

GPA and results of third year students for psychology?

Psych Honours is very competitive. I had a talk with the honours supervisor for psych at UWS and the realistic cutoff this year was around 75-80 minimum. I got in with a mark that was between 80 to 90 for anyone that cares.
