theres a guy in my course [design vis comm] who changed from design computing at syd i think. i think he said that design computing was more mathematical and engineering. i dont know if that info helps or confuses. sorry!
im first year, at uni four days a week, but only 13 hours in total. for first year, we are all there the same number of hours and days, just a couple of small differences person to person.
not really. you could choose a few things but first year is pretty much set. second year you can start changing some subjects and moving things around more.
I'm doing first year Vis Com @ UTS this year. I'm really liking the course so far, i wouldnt say it was more theory based at all. There is theory of course but not too much, and its definitely all helpful. I don't know off the top of my head how many hours we have, but I'll give you an idea of...
When I enrolled for a B Design, I was given the Design, Architechture and Building year pattern, which says that Autumn Semester starts the 23rd of February. Pretty sure that wouldn't be different for other faculties, but double check it.

I enrolled the other day, didn't get given an example timetable or anything like that. For me it was:
- go in, get given a few papers, check id and offer paper (they didn't do this to me cause I knew the guy),
- go to the next room, grab a computer, type in all subject codes one by one to...
At the moment I'm too poor for magazines, but I have a massive stack from when I had a job, things like Idn, Juxtapoz, Empty, Desktop until it got too ad-full, Computer Arts Projects, an occasional Monster Children, and all that.
