    the flame does not excite the electrons, if it did u wouldnt need the light, the light it what excites the electrons the flame is to merely vaporise it. i wud agree with c but the book explicitly states that the cathode is chnaged depending on the metal.

    for the sulfur question it said 50 ppm of SULFUR not sulfur dioxide and for the chlorine question u had find the no. grams of chlorine then work it out as 3.65 includes Ag as well

    i was wondering with cyclohexane, is two adjacent axial methyl groups considered cis isomerism even though one is pointing up and the other in pointing down or are they only cis if they are both point up or down (meaning that they have to be positioned with a carbon between them)?
