My understanding is that if EAS is considered then the HSC Plus scheme is added on top of that. Hence UNSW will consider your entrance as whatever these combined points add on top of your ATAR.
He's referencing that in Adelaide tests the pitch tends to take on more turn towards the end of the match. Hence batsmen have to contend with the rough generated as well as greater turn on offer.
