I do Computer Science and have never had any troubles with the handwriting in uni exams. If you did software design in highschool, the exams are of similar nature, short answer question testing knowledge and practical questions where you may have to debug/write/rewrite code.

Like you, I had to move to Sydney to study, and didn't know anyone I could live with. I used flatmates.com.au which is where I found my current flat mate. It's a great site, I would reccomend it.

Re: MQ General chatter and timetables thread (+ Conception Day!) I started studying for the one i'll probably have to most trouble with (elec166) about 2 weeks ago. Can't really get into anything else at the moment, all the assignments I have due soon is hectic.

I'm currently at MQ, and I want to transfer into USYD. I was wondering, what is counted as a full year of study? After two semesters of study, I would have only done 7 units. If that is not enough, would doing a summer school unit count, or is it too late?

Not to sound like I'm hijacking the thread, but how would i check if ELEC166 has a mixed class in the first week? I don't know who the coordinator is, and i can't find the unit outline. Does anyone know if it does or doesn't?

Re: Semester 2 Timetable I'm doing 4 subjects (math136, elec166, isys114 and comp125). I've tried a few times to switch things around to make my days shorter, but it doesn't make things much better. Pwnage101, yeah there's 2 massive breaks where I think I might just go home or watch a movie.

I think the most dissapointing thing is that the supervisors didn't do anything, eventhough it is a serious offense. But I don't think it would have distracted anyone enough to be able to put in for a special consideration, imo. Goodluck though.

It really depends on how your teacher marks, and what he/she is looking for. Generally teachers will be more concerned with students resolving the problem definition, and the overall appearance, efficiency, and the steps they take to build the solution, ie documentation and all that crap...
