Keep at it. Metrics does take a lot out of you, esp if you only did general maths.. Although Tig at least 'tries' to be funny, the other guy was just plain boring which doesn't help.
Do you know that there's a math's help centre in the carslaw building? I only found out about the place during...
I think the agec degree is structured differently now. There were 2 junior ag subjects you had to do, now I believe there's just the one. I think they realized that they can squeeze the content of both into one subject. In 1a, we did basic stuff like the commodities Australia produces...
I did one year of agec in '04, i went ok and got a transfer into arts/comm the following year, so its very possible. The only problem with transferring is that the 2 ag subjects you do wont be credited towards your new degree.
I found the ag subjects very dull. When I did it, the content was...
Thanks for your responses :)
I'm planning to major in marketing/accounting in comm and sociology/psychology in arts... I reckon it's a good combo for the creative marketer! But each to their own I suppose...
Is it possible to do 4 majors in the com/arts degree? I tried to find info on the unsw website for a while but with no definite answer. I know you can do 2 majors in the com degree and 1 major in the arts degree.. although I'm thinking of doing psychology as a forth. Is this possible, even...
I just love the way he makes the reader not want to put the book down. I suppose thats because of his simple use of language, but thats what the book so exciting.. it's almost like watching a high suspense/thriller movie (especially the last few chapters of angels and demons.. over the top, but...
I've been waiting for his next one for a while now.. Any news as to when its going to be released?
I heard it was about the infamous secret society the Masons.. but thats all i know..
Anyone know when onstage finishes? i've been to the last 2 onstage productions and by the sound of things this years group wasn't all up to scratch.. Anyone with details (price, dates, numbers etc..) would be greatly appreciated..
I also scrapped into my course last year.. and i know for a fact that uai and how well you do at uni is weakly correlated..
If you just scrapped into a course, you have as much capability with someone who got a higher uai.. remember there's scaling involved.. so hard work sometimes does not...
wow.. thanks for the warning!
i need good marks this year and a terrible tutors not going to help.. but its just that the handbook makes 'high ages' sound so interesting.. but yeah i might look into modern european history.. i'll attend both subject lectures in the first week and see which...
I want to do all the history subjects.. but obviously i can't.. so can anyone recommend which is best? I mean im more interested in the actual cultures/people/traditions/majour events rather than simply remembering dates, places etc.. I'm leaning towards 1022 Europe in the High Middle Ages.. but...
Just letting you know that in 2005 the b of arts and sciences will cease and be amalgamated into B science/arts from 2006.. it stated somewhere in the arts faculty handbook if i remember correctly..
i think it's impossible to transfer mid semester, i think you mean mid year, but that too is close to impossible.. i think you have to apply again through uac at the end of the year.. to get into unsw is very competitive.. but yeah with a distinction avg and an OK uai.. you have a strong...
a friend of mine got a uai of about 88 and enrolled in insearch since she didn't get the requirements to get into law/bus at uts.. this year she's in that course.. BUT she went exceptionally well with her uni marks (HD avg!).. so you better work your ass off this year.. it cost her a fair bit...
