O-camp is usually split into two groups and generally runs during orientation week.

I believe the first year of civil engineering is all the same (despite your major). You can have a read through the UTS Handbook: UTS: C10061v4 Bachelor of Engineering Diploma in Engineering Practice - UTS Handbook 2009 You can change your major throughout the duration of the course.
