Not really. It did say on the bottom of the herald list that they did take school size into account.

    Top Schools List.

Yep of course both papers used percentages. but herald divided no. of DA over no. of students in the school (i think) to get percentage, while telegraph divided no. of DA over the number of attempts. eg. maths ext1 and maths ext 2 will be considered two attempts, while being done by only one...

    Top Schools List.

If you read the bottom of the schools list in the SMH, it says that ' the herald analysis ranks schools according to the percentage of students who scored 90 or above in at least one subject, taking into acount the SCHOOL's SIZE. These schools had a minimum of 20 students .....' So i guess...

    What HSC MARK?

There is no way ANYONE will get a raw mark upwards of 95 in the Science subjects. hsc markers just dont let that happen. If there is a clump of students up the top range, then the hsc markers will manipulate their marking criteria to discriminate between the really good and only just the good...

how to prepare a standard solution

Na2CO3 was the standard we used at school. Appropriate standard solutions should be made with substances that are not affected by moisture in the air, so mass is always constant. Also, substances that have a high molecular mass are also appropriate for making standard solutions.

how to prepare a standard solution

    1. Weigh out a certain amount of Na2CO3 (let's say 4 grams) in watchglass 2. If you're really pedantic, heat it in oven and cool it in a dessicator, and reweigh. 3. Transfer Na2CO3 into beaker, and add some deionised water to dissolve it. 4. Transfer solution into a 250mL volumetric flask 5...
