I am wealthy professional in industry not affected by recessions so I don't care, and if anything it will just mean my income stays the same while prices fall

But it will be good to see a bunch of young women in sydney crying that they lost their busy-work office jobs that they thought were so important and which they thought they should get paid 200 grand for doing

Australia's oddly good at avoiding recessions (take GFC for example) so I don't think it'll happen. We literally just got out of a per capita recession, plus it's predicted that we'll experience increasing growth in the coming year (after the cash rate cut). Right now it's mostly just the US economy that's in turmoil

the US isn't australia's biggest export market for australian aluminium and steel exports, so we won't be experiencing reductive impacts too heavily in the meantime
