    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive Well I think what drsoccerball is trying to say is that it would highly improbable that the HSC will ask about hydrogen bonding or dipole-dipole forces directly. However, you will most definitely need to know these types of bonding in order to answer other...

Well its not a matter of what you say, its a matter of what the board of studies says. They're the ones who are organising the HSC, not you

    Log laws

That wouldn't make a difference, because it doesn't really matter what the base is, the log rule as the OP stated still applies no matter the base is

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive Id say that due to the lack of hydrogen bonding, and because of the weak dispersion forces, hydrocarbons would have lower melting a boiling points. And as drsoccerball said, smaller chain hydrocarbons are more likely to be gases, and this ties back into the...

28 days till HSC: How is everyone preparing?

Well the formal graduation is going to happen after the hsc. Its just we dont have to go to school after the trials are over so I guess mentally graduated. In terms of the hsc, no im not confident. I still have yet to do economics and im a bit rusty on my maths.

28 days till HSC: How is everyone preparing?

Truth be told, I graduated 3 weeks ago. I spent 2 weeks chasing up my teachers for trial marks and I spent the third week fulfilling my plan.

28 days till HSC: How is everyone preparing?

Well my plan is to spend 2 weeks going through content (memorising content for English, Chemistry, Economics), and spend the remainder 3 weeks on past papers and just general practice. Not sure how this plan is going to turn out, but that was the only way I could think of spending my time on...

    E4 still possible 4u maths

Just because he got 45 doesn't mean the tests are 'obviously' harder. Maybe it was a one-time thing. For all we know, he could be averaging 70-80 before the trial, and in the trial exam he screwed up for a reason that was out of his control.

    HSC 2015 Economics Marathon

Re: 2015 HSC Economics Marathon I think it may come up if it didn't already under the current syllabus, because it utilises the knowledge of the circular flow of income model (Where Y=C+I, you can derive that from Y=AD at equilibrium and ceterus paribus to remove the exports and government...

    HSC 2015 Economics Marathon

Re: 2015 HSC Economics Marathon I know that monetary policy is better at slowing down the economy rather than speeding it up (its because of its ability to control inflation). However im not too sure about fiscal policy. I personally think it also is more effective slowing down an economy...
