Its kind of hard to grasp, I mean, the highest ever was around 98.9, and I need 98.4 for Sydney Uni... I know I'm determined and I'll put is as much effort as I possibly can...I just can't shake the feeling of my school dragging me down despite my efforts

I would love it if my school was ranked 352 :D Alas, my school comes in at 503 on the rankings list. And that was our best year ever, or so our teachers claim.

So here's the problem. The highest ATAR/UAI anyone has ever gotten was 98.8, I need 94.8-98.4 to get into the cource I want (Veterinary Science). Last year around 4 people got in the 90+ area.

I do a 2 unit subject in Animal Studies at TAFE, doing my 4 hours per week in one day after school. I finish with a Certificate II in Animal Studies at the end of the year.

I have an: Advanced English test Mathmatics exam Chemistry practical Physics research task Ancient in class essay PE in class essay Animal Studies exam. Oh Happy Day

Hey, I want to go into Veterinary Science too. The ATAR this year for Veterinary Science at Sydney Uni was 98.4, after which you sit another exam (STAT) and an interview. There is only one another university in NSW which offers Vet, and that is Charles Sturt uni, which you need over 90 ATAR, but...

You can't say that students who attend normal/public schools are not as smart as selective kids. There are many reasons why someone may not be able to/want to attend a selective school, and that doesn't make them any less intelligent.

My teachers continued to repeat that 'scaling is a myth' and that we can get any ATAR we want because the results from the other students in our year won't drag us down... My school is ranked 500+
