    just curious

Absolutely, petite. Practise is so very very important. And you're right about the correlation between good players and pieces and the instruments they play. I think one can't say that an imstrument has no emotion, but one can definitely say that without a player who can interpret it, an...

    First Post

lol... the very nature of latin students means that it is highly unlikely they will post on these boards...

:D the harpsichord...ahh that brings me back... I think the most embarrassing thing I've ever written in a music exam was then taken by my music teacher and immortalised in strange 'teacher circles' when I was very little. I wrote "Bach was a great organ and harpsichord player who used to...

    just curious

"I think piano can be the most passionate instrument..." I've been playing the piano for as long as I can remember and to me, it represents lots of things; passion...anger...serenity...nostalgia...that dreadful feeling you get when you have yamaha state finals and you haven't practised...

    Silly Question

OK, then... I think I know what you mean, if you put it that way. The words are names/proper nouns, so they don't have tenses. But in Latin there are genders (m, f, n) for each noun, and the adjectives which agree with them have endings specific to these genders eg. miser puer =...

    Silly Question

Confused Erm... This may be a silly answer, but why do you need tenses when they are names?

    Doomed!

Yeah, I had oodles of time at the end and our school added two extra questions to it. I remember going through it an a reasonable pace, thinking, "damn, I'm doing this really slowly, I'd better have enough time for the questions at the end."

    Doomed!

NEAP Trial Did anyone else do it yesterday? I went in expecting the worst and actually liked it...there was nothing on Haber and nothing on batteries and not even anything on ozone.... Not that I'm complaining (WHY are those stupid batteries in the course?), but I think NEAP's gone...

    Ext 2 Maths

Ewww.... Why can't I be right when I actually Do maths? Weisy ___________ Perhaps that's all happiness ever really is...those little moments of exstacy which pass by unnoticed while we wait for the magnum opus which will make everything RIGHT...

Interested in who actually does Latin out there...

 I think it's a GREAT subject. I just want to know if anyone else out there agrees, or even if there IS anyone else out there? :o (always on the verge of sneezing) Weisy "veni, vidi, visa" I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.

    Ext 2 Maths

:( Somewhere I must've read that 4-unit papers are always written by crusty uni professors who take sadistic joy in writing undoable papers. Not sure if that EXACTLY is true, because the Ext 2 paper last year looks pretty breezy compared to, say, 1995, but... I still worry... *Salutes...
