higher or lower than the UAI you achieved?

I think last year 2% got over 99 last year, not sure though

I get the feeling that a smaller percentage of students got over 99 this year compared to last year. Does anyone agree?

I got 98.5 , I'm happy with that cause I tried my best.

If you use percentiles to calculate your UAI this year (via lazseeker) it isn't entirely accurate because this year there are more students doing the HSC so more people will get 99+ and over 90 than was the case with the HSC in 2001 which lazseeker is based on.

I totally agree. it's not worth the risk if u tried your best. if u think u can do better then do it again. i also think i've replied to this exact same post in the form of another thread

Am I correct to say that all you's who scored very high HSC marks in band 6 are all from selective/private schools? *shakes head in disbelief at the marks* Who is actually from a public school that did very well?

Yeah I think that would be the equivalent of about 97 or 98 this year in three unit maths (cause of the extra bonus scaling in 3 unit last year that won't be available this year).

Same I have no hope of getting 100 now. I would be lucky to get over 99 with the marks that I got

If you repeat the ext 2 maths course u have to make sure that u can beat your previous score (cause your latest attempt will count). 88 is a good mark for 4 unit, and it will more than likely be scaled up significantly. if u look at last year's stats for 4 unit 44% got into the top band...

I used the band percentiles for 2002 to estimate my UAI using lazseeker advanced and only ended up with a UAI of 98.8. Yet when I put my marks into it without percentiles I got 99.5 Huge difference I reckon.
