ok waht ive been the whole time and ive noticed most solutions just get the area of the strip and then just integrate that and ur done.

    The format of the HSC

Can anyone comment on how accurate the graphs have to be in curve sketching. Is it just a general shape that they look for because there are sometimes little things which they seem to highlight in the MANSW book but, for eg, Geha did what i would have done(eg the exponential curve graph of last...

    testin timing

Hmm under an hour...i guess depends which year (for 3unit) Last year i have to say was dead easy, except for maybe the very last one. To make sure u dont make mistakes etc. id say a cool hour +20min would suffice. Also does anyone know about 3u scaling, we talked about 4u for a while what...

    testin timing

I can pull off 3unit first 2 questions under 9min. 4unit first question i rkn is easily down about 7min. 2nd question takes me bit longer, maybe 12-15min. But what i fall down on is q3, when i hit the graphs i seem to take just 10min on the graph component of q3, im taking extra time to draw...

    Studying English?

5 pages or somethign in 40min? They want us to contract RSI or something....what a joke On another note, can anyone be so kind as to direct me where we can get the information about structure of the exams like i know there are 3 parts to each day for english. Also i heard for AOS u need like...

    How to do this

Kinda off track but.. I think mojo is making the comment that if some polynomial vanishes for more than n values of x (where n is the degree >=1), it must be the zero polynomial.

    cram for physics?

I never relied on note making, so if its your style then shoot but i rkn its kind of waste of time but whatever works for you ^^

    How to do this

Is Geha's book anygood? Is it just worked solutions from past (how many years??) HSC papers grouped into topic by topic ? Inform me some1 thnx

    cram for physics?

About 3 days, crammed all day long =p Apart from the previous assessment, that was all the study i had ever done for phys. Earlier assessment tasks were like presenatations, prac tests etc. easier stuff and i pretty much had no idea what was going on in the lessons all year long, i only...

    cram for physics?

Mz bubbletea don't you do 3unit? Then we both have exactly a week of cramming from then up to the phys exam ^_^ Yes, you can do it. I've virtually never studied properly in physics, always crammed. I got 93% in my trial and from waht i saw in another thread about raw marks released, im...

Jeff Geha - 50 tips question

Basically you want to let y = x^2 / (abc)^2 . This is so for every root of the original equation (a,b,c) , we now form the roots for our new equation that fit the requirement 1/a^2.b^2 etc (sub in to see what i mean). Noting that abc is the product of the roots ( =-q) we have y=x^2/q^2 so you...

    Newbie Complex Number Question

err dont u mean major arc of a circle? thats how these questions turn out, u gotta draw the vectors going from z to 1 and z to -1 and using the data u can show that the apex angle of the triangle is pi/4. So the locus is the major arc of a circle and by observing symmetry, center lies on the y...

    Weird Conics question

when u sub x0 and y0 into that, then make them the subject of the equation or "isolate" them. Do the same with other point then chuck them back into distnace expression.
