cheers, So i guess its still in my best interest to get top ranks

Just say for instance iam ranked first in a subject. In the external exam i get a crap mark (eg 60) and another kid gets a good mark(90?). Does this mean that i will get the exam mark of 90? So this would mean ranking first in a subject is a good safety net incase you stuff up the externals?
