Just say the question is e.g. effectiveness of the legal system for individuals, would u structure your essay based around the syllabus (access, time, cost, enforceability, rights of individuals etc) and use the issues as examples, OR would you discuss each issue and individually weigh them...

when they ask "how effective" something is, you have to make a judgement, which involves weighing up the good and the bad. You dont have to agree it IS effective, you can say it is ineffective too. usually it is best to take a balanced approach and admit there is still a lot more to be done...

If it NEEDS to be addressed then you talk about how legal measures have only been effective in addressing your issue to a very limited extent, and much more needs to be done. What issue do u have? There would have to be SOME legal measures in place, even if they are limited and not effective

I think you should try really hard to improve your maths mark. Then choose either your DT or IPT and really improve on it, as you do 12 units one of those two probably won't count. Keep up the good work in your other subjects and you're set.

Yeah the average at ours was heaps low too, they marked it harshly, probably just to kick us into form for the real HSC. The top kids still came top, just with a lower mark than usual

You can only sit the catholic trial on the day EVERYONE sits it, there's no need to worry about people on here getting an advantage by seeing the questions because if they haven't sat their exam yet, they're not getting the catholic trial paper, thus their questions will be totally different.
