    usyd enrolment

Took me about an hour from when i got into line to finishing. I got there early, so i got a good place in the line...plus subjects for first year engineering are pretty much fixed in place according to your stream (so you just tell them what stream you're in and there's a set list of subjects to...

    Parking @ USyd

You can park in glebe (a fair way down glebe point road though) for free and either walk 20 minutes in or catch a bus in (90c each way). Fair choice if you're not in a rush.

    Advanced Mathematics @ USYD

afaik it's for first years, and priority is given to those who lack the assumed knowledge for a course (e.g. if you're doing standard level mathematics (assumed knowledge is 3 unit maths) and you only did 2 unit maths in the hsc). If you need help, the tutors and lecturers usually give you...

So what do we need for uni ?

wait about a week after your lectures start, then you can decide whether it will be worth it to buy it or not. Also, see if you can find an electronic version of the book online, or buy 2nd hand. Another option is to borrow it from the library (this is usually for courses with fewer numbers...
