That is a gross over-generalisation that a uni student would make...... You're right, it does depend on the industry, but it isn't 'almost always' preferred to a diploma. Real Estate, paralegal, childcare and visual design diplomas from Tafe and Private Colleges are very respected...

An extended response question cannot be 'too subjective', in fact, you can almost prewrite your answer to it. It will be taken from the key areas i.e. 'morality ethics committment, effectiveness, law reform'. All questions, no matter what area (family shelter, consumers etc) will be the same...

They are free to tell you ranks, just not raw assessment marks. Your rank will probably be on your final report.

Yeah our school has brought in that policy, apparently all school canteens are meant to be 'healthy' by 2004. Ironic thing is, they got rid of all soft drinks, yet they still have these big ass chocolate donuts. Id like to bet they are going to make you fatter than coke ever could!!

We don't even have dux at our school, this whole modern 'lets be fair and equitable to everyone and lets not make the stupid people feel small' We have awards for coming first in subjects as well as awards for doing well across all of your subjects but thats it, no 'this person is better than...

And also if theres only like one mark separating you from first its not going to hurt you!!!!

Yep my parents care but the second one of them says something like 'don't you have study to do' I remind them in no uncertain terms who is actually doing the HSC and that they don't know what they're talking about

First in everything :D Can't say Im not happy I guess.

hehe, Im sure the HSC will leave a lot to be desired :(
