What topics are you studying OP? I'm doing Russia for my national, Arafat for personality and Arab-Israeli conflict for the international.

28 days till HSC: How is everyone preparing?

I see what you mean as well, but even though there's definitely rote learning, it shouldn't be the sum of your study. And I would argue memorising takes more toll on the brain because with understanding, you're making connections which doesn't cause as much 'stress' to the brain. Unfortunately...

    Reliabilty and Accuracy Related?? Help!

I don't think reliability and accuracy overlap if that's what you're asking - they're completely distinct scientific terms.

28 days till HSC: How is everyone preparing?

It could potentially work, but then you need to consider the law of diminishing returns. Like, if you study that much (I'd even question more than 6 hours tbh), I'd be amazed. It probably won't be efficient doing 14 hours when you could compress that into maybe 8 hours.

Sorry, I don't really understand the bolded. By the "detail scaled back", is this like already embedded in your brain from continual revision? (I hope my Q's aren't annoying you lol)

That's impressive lol! Good job haha. I don't know - my WW1 notes are 14 pages but I don't want to memorise all of them lol. So did you just memorise only the minute details of your WW1 notes, and if so, how did you narrow them down? Ah, I see - very clever in terms of essay plans for the...

Fuarrr, sounds intense bro. I guess it's true that economics necessitates understanding, but tbh, stuff like WW1 for modern history has to be rote learned and it's a bitch - the same can be said for the national and international study haha. :( Not sure what legal is like but I hear that there's...

    1. Is the revision (30 mins to an hour) each night catered to each individual subject or is that spread evenly? 2. How did you ensure you effectively memorised because there is so much rote :( I'm assuming the two past papers per day thingo is on 2u and 3u maths and the one essay a day is...

assuming that you have completed your trials and received your results, it's probably redundant to drop a subject at this rate. you have less than two months till paper 1 begins so you may as well keep it. what were you thinking of dropping though?

    How to memorise quotes??

But isn't that in a way still roting because you're repeating the words out loud to yourself?

    How to memorise quotes??

rote learning is probably the way to go tbh e.g. i just rewrite mine over and over until it's in my head

    Avoiding careless mistakes

It might have to do with your foundation tbh. Because if you continue making silly errors in your working, that could be a sign that your groundwork in maths isn't strong.
