    Swine Virus

Moron, that would entail quarantining anybody who'd been in contact with anybody who'd been in contact with anybody who'd been to Mexico or America in the past 2 months: i.e. about 20 million Australians. Not to mention face masks are suspected of further propagating infection after about 30...

No primary vote figures (Greens voters are key - would they support Liberal or Labour?) and the sample size was a flimsy 500 people.

    Swine Virus

None of that makes sense The Spanish flu was the most deadly flu in recent memory, and each wave lasted something like a year. We are barely at the started of the first wave of this flu. Not to mention that you can't immunise yourself by contracting flu before it mutates. There's a reason...

I DESPERATELY need help from IT people (or people who understand computers)

Good advice. Also good advice, though more expensive and no better than Ubuntu. Moron. Unless you mean "format and install Linux" in which case, champion.

    Swine Virus

You can't catch flu by walking past somebody unless they cough in your face and even then you probably wouldn't catch it (but you might).

    Swine Virus

Some points: 1) Death rate seems average for a flu. We can't tell yet how deadly it is because it's not flu season. 2) Infection rate is higher than average. 3) This flu contains lots of novel DNA and is ripe for mutating into something deadly come flu season (Which for us is quite soon)...

    World Towel day

    Happiness

Yes. They spend much of their lives trying to reconcile their belief in religion with their own cognitive dissonance. I applaud how long some of them can last (i.e. all their lives) in their efforts at conscious self-delusion (as compared with the more subconscious self-delusion of the typical...

    Happiness

It's directly related to happiness, which is pretty obvious.

    Happiness

There's some good theories on happiness. I'm fond of this one: Maslow's hierarchy of needs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Python and xULrunner

It's installed by default on Ubuntu. I like wxPython/wxWidgets, though admittedly I've never tried XULrunner. Maybe I'll give it a go. I certainly like Python.

    Should Australia be a Republic?

I think there should be an "Objectivist death squad tax". And because I'm an equal opportunist, we can create one for damn dirty commies as well.
