    Hmm, that does seem idiotic I thought they had interstate interviews in January like other medschools. It is a clear disadvantage for interstates as they already have exams, etc to stress over.

    Re: Interviews and UMAT Yeah, it pretty much means you need to blitz the HSC and beat ur estimate as ur UMAT/UAI prediction was not high enough, to stand a chance of a late round offer at UNSW. So yeah it is harder to get in now.

    Alot of hospitals in the South western area health service are even paying nursing students to do 'supervised' clinical placements. The nursing shortage is pretty dire with the average age of nurses reaching 47.3+ years of age in the last 10 years from 35 or so.
