im only in year 10 but you got great scaling subjects with history and the extensions. If you get low 80's in all your subjects your still pretty much guaranteed a uai 90+ so dont worry about scaling of subjects. i think you'll ace it up though.

not long to go. i was just looking a band descriptors on the boardofstudies website and it said in 2007 Science only 3.85% of candidates got a band 6! that freaked me out. the majority of people get into band 4's and 3's and these marks are aligned.......that must of been a really dumb year...

yeah but i didnt change back to pen. hopefully they dont realise coz its pretty clear on the instructions.....You MUST use blue and black pen. but its maths! thanks for your help guys.

the uai is a rank........most people that average 80's+ in all subjects are scaled up because they are at the tip. most people get stuck in the 70-80 range and are scaled down because this could be where 40,000 kids are. However there might only be 7,000 in the 80's+. 65 is extremel low...

OMG! For the last section of maths the 20 marks. I was drawing the line thing in pencil as it says (draw in diagrams) and then forgot to go back to pen and did the whole section in pencil. will i loose all my marks? :(

im more excited than fearful for the fact they mean jack sh$*. If you think you got band 4's Isho, you probably gt band 5's due to alignment and the fact your underestimating yourself.

there is a whole forum on how its marked but basically you have a raw mark which is what you physically get i.e 97. This mark is then aligned in co-ordination of the whole state. You could say the mark you get on your sc is a rank because the number is just ranked from 100-50. So a mark of 99 on...

english is weird......also because it takes longer perhaps?....dunno.
