    help... maths

    \text{So you have} \hspace{2mm}\dfrac{1}{\cos x} - \dfrac{\sin x}{\cos x} = \dfrac{3}{5} \dfrac{1- \sin x}{\cos x} = \dfrac{3}{5} \text{Square both sides and get everything in terms of sin x using the identity} \sin ^2 x + \cos ^2 x = 1 \text{It's straight-forward from there. }

Is Ngo and Sons English good?

What @B1andB2 said ^ I've not seen any tutoring center which is around $15-20, however you can get private tutoring starting from $20 and for English a private tutor is much much better than a tutoring center because English requires a different kind of attention as opposed to the other...

    narratives that shape our world

Now I'm not the goto English guy but, I guess they can open your eyes to different parts of the world, their practices, culture etc... These things can be used to further our own understanding in many different areas such as science. Traditional medicine vs Modern medicine is just one of the few...

    Polynomials question

    The equation initially is f(x) = ax^3 + bx^2 +cx + d. Which rearranged is f(x) = ax^3 + cx + (bx^2 + d). If you sub in bx^2 + d = 0 into that equation what remains is ax^3 + cx.

    HSC Physics vs HSC Chemistry

Real Physics basically is Maths except with a different type of intuition. I don't think we should even call HSC Physics a science imao.

    Polynomials question

Because it says P(x) is an odd polynomial. With an odd function P(x) = -P(x). It also has degree 3. You can only have a degree 3 polynomial of the form ax^3 + bx that is an odd function because P(-x) = a(-x)^3 + b(-x) = -(ax^3 + bx) = -P(x)\hspace{2mm}\text{(Hence satisfying the...

Getting into selective high school 2021 year 11 entry

Mostly true but it can still happen. My school ranked 300+ had an amazing Science faculty. We had teachers with Phds from Usyd, Unsw and lots of other great credentials!

    Self teaching 4u in holidays

Personally I never ever used a textbook unless I was forced to by the teacher for homework and what not. Textbook problems are usually much easier than exam problems so imo a textbook should only be used if your trying to learn something.

why is the integral used in this question?

Adding onto TheShy, a = dv/dt so naturally you need to integrate both sides to get v in terms of t because v and t are what you get when you integrate dv and dt respectively.

    Quizzes Marks Help

I have no idea what your doing on this line. You don't divide it by 4 because there's 4 tests, but rather by the total percentage. To get the final mark in terms of a percentage you would have to do \dfrac{22.5625}{50} \times 100 = 45.1% because in total the weighting is out of 50. You need...

    Roots of Unity question

Just plugging iii into my calculator it does not seem to be true. As for part c sub x = u + 1/u and expanding all that gives you u^4 + u^3 + u^2 + u + 1 = 0 which is the same equation as the one in part b, so it obviously has the same roots. You just need to argue as to why there's only the...
