Depends. It's an elective from what I recall and I probably wouldn't bother with it until I at least had finished introductory econometrics (also, not everyone needs to do econometric methods).

In all honesty, depends on the course. If your course needs you to do questions within a textbook for tute work (and more importantly, they mark you on it), then get the damn book otherwise you'll be fucked if you can't get ahold of it elsewhere. Some courses also don't need textbooks...

SF4 is pretty good online. Soul Calibur IV was decent too. KOF12 is apparently atrocious and unplayable online, hence why its $31 at EB Tekken 6 could've been so much more but thanks to shit netcode, it wasnt. At least I didn't have to pay for my copy.

Tried playing Tekken 6 online yesterday. Let me say I lasted 10 minutes before quitting it in disgust. I then put in Bayonetta and sat there stupid at the amount of inane shit going on in that game. Loved it.

There's barely any finance in it. It's only called financial econometrics because you use financial data (such as stock returns) in econometric modelling software. It's highly quantitative as well. You need to be able to derive the econometric theory as opposed to just memorising it at face value.

You've got a legitimate reason (medical) as far as I'm concerned. The faculty should be able to accomodate your request or at least give you a reasonable alternative.

Only go to Oweek on Monday and/or Tuesday. Later on in the week and things start to get much quieter.

Don't go to faculty welcomes. They're redundant as you get all the info elsewhere (either that or you already know it). If you must go, stay no longer than an hour.
