My family are all extremely religious Christians who are opposed to the idea that I might have any views different to those that they hold. Bordering on stereotypical religious extremists with their unquestioning following of the bible, specifically regarding homosexuality, etc..
Don't get me...
Hi guys! I'm considering doing a bachelor of Commerce next year, majoring in Human Resource Management. As I understand it, before I can pick a major I have to do a basic grounding in other areas such as accounting in my first semester.
I dropped maths at the end of year 10. How difficult...
Seeing as today marks the release of the ATARS, I just thought I'd remind you all of something...At the end of the day, your ATAR is nothing more than a number – a number you'd be foolish to allow to define you as a person. Regardless of whether you see yourself as having done poorly or...
I just found out that a family friend passed away from a massive heart attack. I feel numb right now, and it hasn't really sunk in yet..I have two HSC exams left to go. One tomorrow and one the day afterward.
Am I eligible for illness/misadventure because of this? I'm not sure if I'd need any...
Recently I've had a lot of experiences with people who I know from years ago in highschool, most of whom had no interest in school and dropped out as soon as they could, most not doing anything with their lives and a few becoming tradespeople.
Now, perhaps it's just people from my high...
It's one of those nights where you can't sleep. You're either too hot or too cold, your eyes just won't stay closed..
What do you guys do to get yourselves to sleep when you're struggling?
My sleeping pattern is pretty out whack at the moment. I tend to have difficulty sleeping...
Okay guys and girls, what do you think the qualities are in a great hug?
Also, differentiate between "friend" hugs and in-relationship hugs.
KGO! :spin:
So for the last few exams, bar today, heaps of people in my grade have been blatantly using stopwatches..The examiners maintain that they haven't "known" thus far because they haven't "heard them beeping" despite the fact that the sound of beeping echoes in the exam room every few minutes...
From what I've seen from the boredofstudies forum as well as people in real life, UOW isn't really seen as a university that people aspire or "want" to go to, unlike universities like USYD, Maq, UNSW, etc..
Why is this? Wollongong Uni seems to be a great uni, from what I've heard and seen of it.
Alrighty, English paper 1 is over. First of all, let's take all exhale and relax. The first half is done. We now have an extra day to prepare for the second onslaught.
That said, does anyone have any theories on what might be asked question-wise in the modules questions?
My favourite music seems to be that which I listened to when I was younger (young being late 90's and early 00's)..I'm wondering if this is just me, or does anybody else find this too?
I'm wondering if our taste in music is actually shaped when we're young.
Needless to say, the majority of people will be fucked if the BOS specifies a specific poem that has to be discussed. That said, how likely is it that they will specify one or more Ted Hughes poems that we have to talk about?
Lately I've found it a lot more difficult to study effectively in contrast to when I was studying for the trial exams. I'm putting it down to a lack of pre-exam adrenaline at the moment, but I'm not entirely sure.
Is anybody else experiencing this? :blink2:
It's been a long time since I've studied Coppola's 'Lost In Translation' and I can only really remember the basics. It's probably a good thing that I've started studying for the E1 HSC now rather than later on, or I'd really be in a pickle!
Anyway, I'm wondering if any of you guys would be able...
Thus far, I haven't bothered looking into getting a part-time job. With the end of the HSC drawing near, however, I think it might be prudent to start looking. With my lack of experience, I can assume it's pretty hard to start out doing work that isn't food related..But what are some...
I just finished my monologue/GP today. Really happy with how I went..Everything went perfectly to plan. How did everyone else go? Post your thoughts below. ;)
The title pretty much says it all. Assuming they don't nitpick and individually count every word in everyone's major work (which I'm pretty sure they don't do, but correct me if I'm wrong) how likely are people to be caught if they're like 200 words over or under?
Just applied for early entry in the bachelor of commerce degree. For someone with an average of 80% in Adv. English & Extension 1 & 2 English, how likely is it that I'll gain early entry?
