\text{Determine the growth rate of the sequence}:\\a_{n}=1+2+3+....+\left \lfloor \frac{n^{2}}{10} \right \rfloor $for all n\geq 4.
Thanks, its really confusing me, i was thinking of making n =10^k to get rid of the down rounding operator but didnt really know where to go
Hey i was wondering if someone could give me some help with this question on matrix transforation:
\text{Let b}=\left ( v_{1},v_{2},v_{3} \right )\text{be a basis of }\mathbb{R}^{3}\text{and define c}=(v_{2},v_{3},v_{1}).\\ \text{Suppose that} \phi :\mathbb{R}^{3}\to \mathbb{R}^{3}\text{is a...
Hi, im about to go into 2nd year adv science. i want to major in pure maths so i picked to do vector calculus and real/complex analysis this semester. turns out analysis clashes with my two other subjects, anatomy and physiology. so im thinking of changing analysis to graph theory. only problem...
hey sorry to bother yall
but im doing some papers for my dif cal exam next week
and i ran into one i had trouble with:
lim(y>0+) (cosh(3/y))^y
this is my work so far:
let L be the limit it approaches
so lnL=lim(y>0+) ycosh(3/y)
=lim(y>0+)(cosh(3/y))/y^-1 which is in the form (inf/inf)
so...
hey can someone please explain to me how to get a taylor polynomial of order two out of the equation x^2sqrt(9-x^2)
i missed a lecture where he explained it
i think it uses the fact that the expansion of sqrt(1+x) = 1 + 0.5x + ...
but dont know how to do it
thanks
hey i just came across a question
and it asked if there is a matrix A to find A^2
and then the 2nd part said find A^-1
and it turned out that A^-1 = -A^2
soooo im just wondering if that was just a coincidence or its a general rule for matrices
thanks
im going to be doin this course this year
and i was just wondering how many hours a week should i be expecting to spend in lectures and tutes, etc?
thanks
i wasnt sure where to put this thread as there was no faculty of vet science one, so i put it here.
but my question is: is there anyone on this forum who got into vet science at USYD on the second or final round offers? And if so, what UAI did you receive?
Thanks
why is it when you differentiate lnx, which is defined only for x>0 we get a function that is defined for all real x, except x=/=0??
probably a silly question but i was just wondering
i know this question is asked very often, but
can someone estimate my uai please??
MX1- 1/9
MX2 - 1/2
Chem- 2/9
Phys- 2/19
Jap- 2/3
Eng- about 20/about70
and my school rank is low 300's
thank
im just wondering
would it be acceptable to use projectile motion from 3 unit maths to solve physics questions??
because my physics teacher can't explain things well so i never understood projectile motion in physics?
or would calculus be bad in the exam??
thanks
