    Indv+Soc - Related text appropriateness?

It covers all six of the ways of thinking I want to analyse. It isn't 19th century, but it's 19th century ways of thinking in every aspect. Since that's the name of the topic, I figured it would be fine. My extension teacher didn't mind when I did it in every essay we've had so far, and she's...

    Indv+Soc - Related text appropriateness?

My point is that while it is a mid 20th text about an early 18th series of events, it examines in great detail many of the ways of thinking prevalent in the 19th century that relate to the individual and society. I guess the point is: is the focus of the module of 19th century society, or its...

Urgent Question on Heaney and Essay Structure

You obviously only have to write half as much on each poem as you do on a normal text; less, in fact, if you do more poems. It's a non-issue.

    Indv+Soc - Related text appropriateness?

I've been reading over the marking criteria recently in much greater detail than ever before, and I've just realised something that was never made known to a single person I know. It seems that, according to the wording of the criterion, your text doesn't have to be of the 19th century...

    how's everydoby going with studying?!?!

The reason Geography scales negatively is because many many stupid and/or people do it, quite a few of which should not have been in school past year ten. To make up for the fact that you will recieve a very comparatively high mark as opposed to these people, scaling reduces that so that most...

why is king lear a tragedy?

The most cripplingly tragic element of the play, though, isn't in the characters or the plot, but in us. Each and every time more bad things happen, we see a glimmer of hope for the future, which grows into a bright spark, only to be blasted back into oblivion. The way Shakespeare plays on hope...

    Umm...SGP thread...need some urgent help

Don't expect people to do the obvious. In fact, expect them to do the stupid. Half the time telling people to use the search function results in them whining and starting a new thread asking the same question.

    Geography Sux!

You know what I love about people like this? They tend to fail their HSC exams in epic fashion. Perhaps you should tend to your own poor performance before attacking people who will do far better than you can ever aspire to.

1815-period pain? Presumably you're looking at the issues of life in the 1900's.

    IP choices

Do either what sound sintersting or what you know you can do. It may be easier if yo discount what you can't do first. I can't get the images in my brain anywhere else without them losing all coolness. There goes Costume Design. I declared war on all picture editing software other than MS...

    Oh! Drama Sucks!

I have a broken hand. Another group member got bronchitis and pneumonia. Another got kicked out of school. Point, set and match.

What gp topic did you pick?

So what if they change each year. It takes roughly seventy seconds to relate any performance on earth to one of the topics, and to fix it better, just insert a referential line in somewhere. Thus, forced topics are as good a security measure as three rocks in a sack.

    The " I Did It " Thread

They're there to make sure that performances are marked on an even scale, so they do affect your mark. they don't actually mark it themselves. As for identifying them? If the nametag says senior marker they're probably a senior marker.

    The " I Did It " Thread

I liked the senior marker. They're more experienced and've seen more performances, and that way you won't be getting marks out of the ordinary. Besides, the one at my performances looked suspiciously like Mike Moore.

in one sentence: my IP/GP is about...

I respond by going all in with a group member being kicked out of school and another groupie getting bronchitis and pneumonia simultaneously three weeks before performance, rendering him incapacitated for two and a half of those weeks. I declare an official competition.

When are the judges for performance coming to your school?

Tripped? Tripped how? If it was during something unimportant and was handled well, marks will remain unchanged, your ability to adlib recovery making up for the mistake. If it was in something choreographed, though, it could show a lack of rehearsal. It all really depends on how you got around it.

    Rationale thread

Sound useless to me, really. All they want is an explanation infested with key words and syllabus points. The ultimate test of any rationale-type thing is always buzzword bingo.
