    USYD Pharmacy 2006

enrolment is a real pain in the arse for first years, it takes about 3-5 hours and involves you filling in too many forms and then waiting in line for too bloody long (but maybe it was just me). pharm's a pretty boring job though, according to some pharmacists i've spoken with

    USYD Pharmacy 2006

ummm... i'm pretty sure Chemistry is only assumed knowledge, hence you won't HAVE to have it, but it helps tremendously if you do have it seeing as Chem A and Chem B are pretty hard without it. roughly 270 people were accepted into pharmacy this year the university doesn't really care what...

    Did you vote?

falun gong started off good, and there are good people in there i hope, but from my experience, a personal and tragic experience in this case, all the religion has succeeded in doing is dividing an already divided people (in this case, chinese) and also wasting the lives of many innocents in the...

What is the best trilogy of books or series?

i liked david eddings' belgariad, r.a. salvatore's drizzt trilogies (still ongoing, but quality seems to be fading), tolkien's lotr (obviously :P), j.k. rowling's harry potter, orson scott card's ender's shadow series and also Ender's game (the other books in ender's game trilogy weren't as good...

    Keane

I hate to say this, but a lot of the time I feel Keane are Coldplay-lite, Chaplin's voice (whilst great in his own way) lacks the emotion that the Martins, Yorkes and Buckleys of the world have. Sometimes the music sounds extremely generic and at other times, dull. The only song that I like from...

    Favourite soccer team!?

Valencia and Arsenal. Valencia for their awesome defensive organisation (not last season unfortunately though :() and two wonderful players in Pablo Aimar and Vicente Rodriguez. Arsenal for their brilliant attack and playing style, plus I've supported them since like beginning of time :P...

    Flyer's etc.

the flyers' jobs are pretty tough as well imho, they stand in the same spot for god know's how long and have people ignoring them all the time. i think they deserve some sympathy (even if you ignore them :P) *shields himself from a whole assortment of flame posts directed his way*

    Coldplay X&Y

a rush of blood to the head > (barely) parachutes > x&y (where's the soul?!) swallowed in the sea imho is best track on x&y, speed of sound, fix you, x&y, white shadows, til kingdom come and twisted logic are all very good songs. but i'm still waiting for the next everything's not lost (best...

    Coldplay

x&y stinks (there's no emotion in most of the tracks), parachutes and a rush of blood are excellent everything's not lost is the best track by coldplay imho, it's so uplifting, yellow and clocks are not my cup of tea though

HARRY POTTER & THE HBP - what did you think? (SPOILERS!)

(Spoiler alert) ok, maybe i'm delusional or overly optimistic, but i do think Snape is still a good guy. these are some of the clues i picked up: 1. Snape showed hesitation when accepting the fact that he might need to kill Dumbledore in the process of doing the...

    Civil UAI at UNSW

Hi, I'm thinking of Civil Engineering as a future course, and I was initially very interested by UNSW's course, but after comparisons with USYD, I saw that USYD's UAI Cutoff for the specialised courses (92 or so) was much higher than that of UNSW (80 or so). Seeing as the cutoffs are purely...

    multiple choice...opinions please!!

well i agree with everything except question 6. I initially put down D) Evaporation of water from stomates, but I then realised that it's not an adaptation, just a structure. Therefore I changed to A) Large leaves for cooling, as that's an adaptation and does assist temperature regulation...

The 2004 HSC - Chemistry Paper

2.52 for the sodium hydrogen carbonate question 0.03mol/L for the other one. overall, pretty straightforward, funny how it resembled the Science Teachers' Association Trial HSC Paper of 2001. btw, what did everyone get for the multiple choice question about which of those substances...

The 2004 HSC - Chemistry Paper

i got 3, 0.01 x 0.01 = (concentration of hydrochloric acid) x 0.1 As hydrochloric acid is monoprotic, then hydrogen ion concentration is the same as hydrochloric acid, unlike say sulfuric acid. u get 0.001, which ends up as pH = 3, but i might be wrong (as i usually am :P).
