    4 unit half yearly 2008 !

    are you serious :mad1: i had mine yesterday, it was 8 questions in 3 hours. it was so intense. i had about 5 mins left and i hadn't done the last question but luckily it was just prove de Moivre's theorem using induction which i knew how to do. hope i'll get in the mid 70's too :) *fingers crossed*

    yeah, they're part of curve sketching for the hsc. we just finished them, we only spent about 1 period on them, not a significant chunk.

    More polynomials help

    just be careful, i thought that exact thing. don't get me wrong 4U is great fun but you gotta be prepared to work your face off. you gotta cram a lot of stuff in your head in a short amount of time, we do a new idea every lesson. it's intense but it beats 2U.

    there's just alot to it, but it's easy to prove formulae if you don't remember them. and half of it's to do with the parametric equations which use trig rather than (2at, at²). it's lengthy and conceptually confronting, that's why everyone hates it.     i always find that i get a sign wrong, or don't expand it fully through the brackets. it sucks mega time but i don't care cause i'm coming first. 4U has helped heaps with my algebra because that's all it practically is

    i got the answer a different way, but it still worked. did it specify that you had to use the root coefficient rule?

    i see what he's done... it is in degrees so he's turned x° into x rad. which would be π/180 x rad. go from there... he had to change it to radians to be able to manipulate it to find the integral
