    People putting down food tech

Thanks Marquelle :) I have put the Food Tech subject report thingy below so you can see how the marks fit in. Considering the averages and everything, if you can crack the Band 6 I wouldn't think your UAI would be affected but then I don't 100% understand how it all works but oh well.

    People putting down food tech

Got the full HSC results in the mail today - it appears the top (aligned) HSC mark was 98. That is going off the subject report things that we are sent.

    People putting down food tech

I got 96 and that wasn't a state rank or anything so maybe 98-99? I only used Food Tech in Action. I did Food Tech via correspondance so taught myself a lot of the content from the info I was sent out. If anyone wants notes on particular stuff then PM me :)

    People putting down food tech

I did exactly all the same subjects as you, and even though the three you mentioned are "low-scaling", I managed to get a UAI of 98.35 - point is that it doesn't matter what the subject is, if you enjoy it and go reasonably well in the subject then your UAI is not going to suffer too much. So...

    Anyone get 95+ without TUTORING?

I got 98.35 - no tutor, no Asian heritage, and I did two "low scaling subjects" (Food Tech and PDHPE).

Which uni will you be going and what course?

I've had a look at the UOW site, it's not 100% clear but supposedly it is different subjects but some of the material would be similar. I am going to ring up and talk to the advisory people I think :spin:

Who smashed the UAI requirements for their course?

I only get 5 of the 6 points - 3 for local, 2 for a band 5 in English as it is the only subject counted as relevant for my degree.

Which uni will you be going and what course?

It is going to much easier financially and logistically to not move out of home yet, so to do medicine, graduate at UOW is it. I think nursing is going to be a relevant undergraduate degree and I can work as a nurse part-time during post-grad study and holidays... and I think being trained as a...

Which uni will you be going and what course?

Bachelor of Nursing @ University of Wollongong >>> Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery @ UOW Cut-off = 72, UAI = 98.35 (still can't stop smiling about it either!)

Who smashed the UAI requirements for their course?

I changed career aims during the HSC - for my new plan I need 72 and I got 98.35. With the bonus points at Wollongong Uni I got 103.35 in their eyes :D I am planning to do a Bachelor of Nursing and then entering graduate medicine at UOW :)

With which exams are you surprised?

I was most surprised with Maths Ext 1. I estimated my raw mark to be about 33-35/50, and I got 46/50! I almost fell off the chair when I saw it yesterday!

I am taking a gap year, working for the first six months, then travelling to USA to work in a summer camp, then travelling around USA and Europe until the end of the year. I may end up going to uni for the first semester then deferring the second semester but I just have to wait to find out my...
