General Thoughts: English Advanced Paper 2 (Modules)

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Amen. An like i'd written SO MANY practice essays, like SOOOO MANNNYYY to SOOO MANNNNYYYY questions asking for TWO. Having only responded to ONE would have sent 12 months of preparation out the window.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Re: You will not be disadvantaged for having two related texts It's funny how ONE (pardon the pun) nice remark makes people happy over 100+ negative (ie. you're going to lose marks) ones. We all never have to think about belonging again - how good's that? (Regardless of how many related...

    Section 3 - Extended Response

You see, English GENERALLY does poorly across the state. My bet is they'll be looking to give marks. HOWEVER, becuase you've spent your time on a 2nd related text ie. not analysing your first and prescribed you'll lose marks becuase the part of the essay which will be counted won't have enough...

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Word for word: "Demonstrate how your prescribed text and ONE other related text of your own choosing represent this interpretation of belonging" The quote being: Understanding nourishes belonging... a lack of understanding prevents it. I think ONE is pretty clear, as in 1 and only 1, don't do...

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

This is more than likely going to happen. We know for sure that the marking room is going to get heated!

    Section 3 - Extended Response

It says "ONE" I reckon that like 1/4 of a the state would have written on two though, mistaking it for 'At least ONE'. I'm not sure what the marking centre's going to do about TWO, i mean you didn't really answer the question so i can't see someone getting 15/15. Perhaps they'll disregard one...

    my belonging story

Yeah i'd say 13-14/15 would be a fairly accurate assumption. Not sure what would bump it up to a 15 really, should do well with this regardless. Good luck tomorrow.
