Sorry for not starting a new thread, but what are the advantages of doing higher maths + physics? which branches of engineering are they intended for?

Hi, just after some other people's opinions to help me make my decision. UNSW is better i gather, but would mean an extra hour travel each day plus the extra half year course duration. Would i be at all disadvantaged in terms of career prospects if i went to sydney? I'm probably interested...
