How do I know if I'm 100% enrolled.

I've gone through the whole UNSW online enrolling process, having chosen subjects and created my timetable. Does that mean I'm completely enrolled? In the 'my applications' tab, my status is set at 'Matriculation'. Thanks

Can my HECS application be rejected?

Thanks, how do I find out if my enrolment is successful? I've gone through all the steps on the 'myunsw' website and I've enroled for courses. But my status still says 'matrication' On UNSW website it says this: MATRICULATION – this indicates that your acceptance of offer has been confirmed...

Can my HECS application be rejected?

I did one sem of uni in 2009 where I failed all 4 subjects. I'm now back at the same uni (UNSW) doing a complete different subject. In my enrolment I went through the same process as I did a year ago, entering my TFN and selecting that I wanted HECS. However, can my application be rejected...

Lowest fail rate stream of engineering?

I'm interested in engineering but I'm a bit worried about the fail rates I hear for especially mechanical engineering. What is the one with the least fail rate? Is it civil? Thanks.

Job probability - commerce @ Macq

Good point. Well, obviously I've put down better unis like UNSW and USyd as higher (1st/2nd) choices, but I'm a bit doubtful as to whether I'll get in either of these. Macq comm is currently 4th on my preferences. So I'm looking into more choices since my interests lie in commerce/economics...

Courses that have highest % of graduates finding jobs?

Ah, so G8 meaning just UNSW and USyd and not UTS and Macq? However, I've actually heard that Macq commerce/eco is more highly regarded than that of UTS and Syd.

Job probability - commerce @ Macq

Is this true for Macq? Oh and btw by commerce I don't mean actuarial. My math isn't good enough for that.

Courses that have highest % of graduates finding jobs?

Thanks, I'm hearing good things about eco/comm degrees in terms of getting jobs. However, I hear a lot of people comparing unis. How important is this really? As long as I go to one of the 'larger' unis (UNSW, USyd, UTS, Macq) would that still matter? Do employers really place a lot of...

Job probability - commerce @ Macq

What exactly do you mean by 'hard to come out'? Is there a really high dropout rate or what? because if that's the only reason I shouldn't go to Macq then its not enough reason to stop me. I know I'm going to do well and try my best. Its coming out of uni and the prospects I get then that...

Job probability - commerce @ Macq

I'm still not entirely sure of my preferences for next yr and have been switching them around a lot (offers in jan). I was just wondering if commerce at Macq is a course that gives graduates good job prospects. I'm wondering because commerce degrees at UNSW, UTS, USyd all have cutoffs at...

Courses that have highest % of graduates finding jobs?

I've heard subjects like engineering for example have a high % of graduates getting jobs once they've gotten their bachelor degrees. However, Im wondering what other degrees also have high rates of employment and how much the university that you go to affect this. I'm quite undecided on my...

Earliest possible time for 1st yr student to transfer?

Sweet, so MacqU takes only higher of UAI or GPA for up to 6 months uni study. Is this the same for UNSW, USyd and other unis as well? Because I know for sure its not the case for UTS (they take UAI & GPA even if I've only done 6 months of tertiary study).

So worried!! UAI or WAM counted??

Thanks, but in the case that they do take my uni marks (since i failed all 4 subjects), what would that drag me down to in terms of uni entry rank? With a uai of 91 and a WAM of 20, would that mean my entrance mark becomes (91+20)/2 which would be a lowly 55. because in this case i'm screwed...

Getting a Job with a degree. WAM questions

Hey, I started an engineering degree in unsw for one semester before discontinued the degree and went for economics (so less than 1 yr of degree done). My WAM for this one semester of engo was around 20 (I was a total tool, the course was hard, and I didn't try.) Anyway, if I now average say...

WAM and UAI - worried sick

Thanks Spence! I'm reapplying now as a non recent school leaver and it's asking about my current/past jobs etc. Does anyone know if these affect my chances of getting into courses?

WAM and UAI - worried sick

Hey guys I did the hsc in 2008 enrolled in engo at unsw for 2009. It was so hard that I applied for "discontinuation at end of 1st semester" As a result I no longer tried for anything since I was told by unsw it wouldnt count if i reapplied for uni for start of 2010. (WAM was 20) However I just...

Taking 1/2 year gap - where should I get job?

Hey, I've decided on taking a 1/2 year gap. That's because I realised I chose a uni course I had no interest in. I will be restarting with a new course for next year. In the meantime I'm having trouble finding a job. II don't have any previous job experience. 've applied for places online...

Desperate for some advice on 2nd sem transfer

Hi, I'm doing bioinformatics/biomedical engineering at UNSW at the moment, first year. So far, this first semester has been horrible. Im pretty much guaranteed to fail 2 of my 4 subjects due to lack of interest and motivation. I really should have done my research before I chose the degree...
