USYD - through UAC, based on 50% ATAR, 50%- Uni WAM
UNSW- through my unsw (internal website, based on 100% uni WAM (80+ to be competitive), 100 guaranteed internal transfer places for law.
Depends how your ATAR turns out. Good luck!
Hi,
I'm currently in my first year of doing a B Criminology and Criminal Justice and am hoping to combine it with law next year (have had this hope since I was in your position last year!). According to UNSW in order to be competitive you need a WAM of above 80. However, this does not guarantee...
I was offered a place in Bachelor of Crimininology and Criminal Justice 3422 and have a few questions regarding enrolment.
Can I do part 2 of enrolment and enrol in lectures/tutes and still be eligible for an offer in second round?
If I get accepted in second round to a higher preference...
Sorry if the following question is blindingly obvious or stupid. I got offered my second preference of Criminology at UNSW and was in the process of accepting when I saw this
'It is University policy that no more than one offer may be accepted or deferred in each semester and as...
Re: Which newspaper publishes the list of everyone that got into uni and their course
The list of students and their courses is published on Thursday 19 January 2012, in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph, The Newcastle Herald and The Canberra Times.
Just found out I got Dux! So very shocked right now. In a good but non-believing way. I wasn't entirely happy with my ATAR so this is a nice surprise :)
92.2 + 5 Bonus points. Still not going to be enough so guess I'll just start with Criminology : ( Stupid ATAR calculator getting my hopes up. Congrats to all who got what they wanted!

PS. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
I consider Law to be about interpreting and manipulating language so yes, considering all the readings I hear law students do in law, I'd say being good at English would definitely help! I do four unit English and hope it will be helpful if I get into Arts/Law. As a law student the ability to...
In short, yes. I'm doing year 12 Legal this year and love it. It is without a doubt my favourite course! If you have any more questions let me know :)
PS. Like Shadowdude said Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Customary law are tribal laws that include stuff like mediation and circle sentencing.
Hey,
Going shopping in Sydney soon for my formal dress and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I don't want something run of the mill so was hoping for any boutique or smaller shop suggestions?
My friend and I are basically teaching the course to ourselves so any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated! Macmillan is our school textbook with Kleeman's Australian Geography for skills. I've also used Macquarie when making my notes.
