I got sidetracked, but to answer your question, you basically need to decide on the format/style of your story, then everything will work itself out. Eg flashback, multiple stories, one story with complex character relationships ;)
research? what research? I'm not in yr 12 yet, but I was considering doing English Ext 2. I realise that you are required to keep a sort of logbook, but what sort of things do you research? I picked up something somewhere that said you research/read the style of your writing? What if its not...
Hi all!
I've perservered through soo many pages of the thread but still ended pressing last page. I tried! As far as I've seen not that much has been said about Legal, Ec, Modern history? A lot seems to be maths and chem centred.
I'm starting preliminary courses in the coming year, but hsc...
They're both lame once u grow out of them, but Goosebumps at least, is mildly interesting until you reach the super lame ending... Only like 2 of them had creepy endings.
I couldn't finish the first book!!!
LOTR is kinda boring, and slo, at least in the beginning...
Now, Jane Austen is different. U can read again and again and you never get bored. Pride an Prejudice, Emma and Persuasion were really interesting. The only classics which I love.
No! Emma was so interesting! Didn't u like all those unexpected matches?
Newaiis...The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing by M.T Anderson is sooooooo annoying. We had to read it inyear 9, but it was so, so tedious. HORRIBLE!!!
Try if u dare.:burn:
The AMulet of Sarmakand, Deltora Q. the Obernewton C. and obviously everyone's read HP. I liked it in Early Highschool years and in Primary, but i reckon you grow out of it? Well, just after I'd just forgotten all about fantasy and turned to historical fiction or something Eragon turned up. It...
Mayb not GREATEST. but Jane Austen cerainly wrote some ith some very withering satire in some of her books (a lot compared to other ppl in her era anyways).
Nice wording there! I agree. Charles Dickens is kinda... well let's just say he isn't My favourite in all the Classic authors. But what you like the mesage of the bok to be influences your likes and dislikes. If looking for entertainment, i'd turn to Austen rather than to Dicken. But if you want...
what's wrong with fantasy/romance? Books are for escaping into an entertaining world of excitement and fun. Isn't the whole point to entertain yourself?
Anywaiis... "The Undomestic Goddess" by Sophie Kinsella is witty, romantic and realistic. PERFECT for the holidays. It would prob. interest...
It's great for a fuzzy teen romance read, but that's where it ends. If you're looking for quality or adventure/fantasy/action opt for HP. The movie's not bad though... a mixture of romance and action. Btw how come everyone says Kristen Stewart can't act ? She's fine!
