Hi there -
I'm available for private tutoring, based in the Eastern Suburbs. I scored a 99.75 ATAR in 2010, am going to the UK for university, and scored the following marks:
- Modern History 97 (top 10 in the State)
- English Adv. 96
- 2U Maths 96
- Economics 95
- 3U English 47
- 3U...
Hey -
So the title is pretty self-explanatory. I'm a pretty good student, but I just do not physically comprehend how I'm expected to memorise such multitudes of information for each subject, times'd by however many subjects I do!
I've had in-class essays over the last few weeks, and have been...
Hey there - here are my rankings thus far (about 35% of internal done):
Adv. Eng - 6/96
Ext. Eng - =2nd/54
2u Maths - 1st/85ish
3u Maths - 12th/26
Eco - =2/30ish
Modern - =10th/50ish
Ext. History - =1st/12
My school is top 10-15 depending on year. Note that some subjects have only had one...
Hey there -
So yep. Just if you could give a general approximation of where you think I lie that'd be brills. I need it to apply to a few universities - 98.5+ is my ideal.
My school goes from top 15 to top 10 depending on the year.
Adv. English - 6/100ish in year 11 (should be top 4 this...
Hey there -
Just wondering how many people out there do these sorts of things, and what calibre of students do. I'm aiming for a 98+, and already go to a $20k+-per-year school, so feel sort of conflicted as to whether I need it to stay competitive or if it's a waste of more money. I was...
Hi there --
Currently have an assessment (first for HSC modern - eek!) relating to Core Study. It's a source analysis task.
Just to make sure I'm getting all my structure/etc. down, can someone run through how to respond to a question that runs along the lines of "Using Source X and your own...
Hey there - Well I didn't find it too horrendous. You have to actually enjoy school to be willing to put in the work for them, and I guess another part is it depending on how well you actually want to go in HSC. My school is a top 10 so I suppose it's a bit different, but at the end of the day...
Hi there -
I'm currently really troubled about whether to do History Ext. next year.
I think I'd really enjoy the course, and it'd be great on my transcript to apply to do Political Economics at UK/US universities (which is my aim).
The only thing is, firstly, I'm already on 12 Units, and...
It's moreso because the universities I'm planning on applying to (overseas) highly recommend a strong background in history for the particular course (PPE) I want.
Hence, while I also enjoy it, I think it'd be more relevant to my applications. But I don't want to have an obscenely high workload...
So, here is what my current line-up of subjects is:
- Chem (2U)
- Economics (2U)
- Modern (2U)
- Maths + Ext. Maths (3U)
- English + Ext. English (3U)
..for a total of 12 Units.
Which is generally a nice number of units.
Now, for most of my high school career I always planned on doing 4U...
