Um. I don't get what you wrote
preferences are based on what you want considered first, so if i don't get into medicine then the second preference (engineering) is to be considered
just checking how are offers to applicants for medicine made, through UAC? this occur after the interview right?
No, I'm not, far from it. Sorry if it sounded like that, what I meant was perhaps putting the co-op course as first preference would maybe be better, I don't mind putting medicine as my second preference since I bombed my umat.
whether or not you have certain qualities required to be a COOP scholar, I don't think your teacher would be that slack to ruin your chance, haha never know
Im applying to UNSW for medicine and engineering co-op, and in the co-op scholarship application they require the UAC preferences. Does anyone know if Co-op actually has access to our actual preferences, since I may consider rearranging my preferences to make their co-op number my first...
Re: Umat
why does optometry require UMAT anyway, I don't know much about it but isn't optom just the study regarding eye/structure/--- ultimately becoming an optometrist who just fits ppls glasses and does eye checks, not like they're even an opthalmologist. Optometrist doesn't even require...
could you provide links to these info if you can, that would be greatly appreciated, can't seem to find them on their respective sites. I never knew of the UWS and Newcastle procedures until now, thanks man!
Re: Umat
life has its ups and downs, I know what you mean by 'that attitude', but srsly I wasn't even giving myself that high a target (around the 88-90 percentile), yea I fell short by almost 10 percentile. While ppl that didn't even prep that well, just basically rolled it (generalisation)...
Re: Umat
Think about it. Not to be arrogant or cocky or anything...I kinda know that I'm actually smarter (in terms of natural smartness) than people that got in the 90s percentile. Its just that knowing that I failed to capitalise on that advantage...and essentially fucked up, makes it...
Re: Umat
I go to a selective school in the top 5 with 95% asian (indians included)...so yea. Dropkick asians who don't study and roll UMAT, meh its still possible
Re: Umat
how did ppl know that today the UMAT results were to be released anyway, at our school it just started with rumours over the weekend and then someone had to actual balls to go on the website to check for real...then the torrent of ppl followed.
ACER didn't even have anything on their...
Re: Umat
NOT MY PERCENTILE:
a person from from my school got 100th percentile, raw score 76
jelly...confirmed unsw med- if they don't fuck up interview
Re: Umat
Totally agree, a few dropkicks who barely do well at school, and flunk their subjects, and I presume did very little prep for UMAT got in the 90-100 percentiles. FML...all that money on prep courses wasted TT
Its quite blatant that there is some element of luck/chance in UMAT, thats...
