Keep in mind the practical reality - many students pay for tutoring because they are paying to be spoonfed
But spoonfed in a good way of course - make it easy for them to learn the processes! they are clients, treat them like royalty. Make their lives easy.
that's how I signed up with Dux
started with a free trial lesson I thought to myself what the hey
then they turned out to be pretty good and cheap so I stayed
Went to matrix for a bit in year 10 for adv maths
All i can say is... overpriced.
And you know why right - the place looks so nicely renovated n fantastic, you know as customers you're all paying for the scenery. Me I rather save a bit on useless stuff like that and spend it on a private tutor...
I'm just starting yr 12 this term, but my bro who did his hsc in '05 brought in 2 calculators and 2 pens
sigh... if only he realised you can do an entire 4 unit maths exam without a calculator at all lol
I started at Dux College since April of this year. I gotta say it's one of the better places out there to get tutored. The tutors are funny and cool, but they really know their stuff. I also heard their 4 unit tutor Ahmad is quite a gun, I guess i'll find out next week
In terms of homework they...
I think ruse lost power during a HSC exam last year and they got like an extra 45 minutes for free. That's sorta cheating... but sif they need more time anyway
So why do people continue to do this subject if its 'better to not do any maths at all'?
As in, if ppl are only capable of doing gen maths level, why do they even choose the subject in the first place? Such people may find their talents are more suited to things like english, history etc
Re: 回覆: Nnnooooooo!!!!
is there any way u can ask to do the subs u want at a tafe or something?
prolly not a good idea tho... in the long run, more trouble than its worth maybe
