I believe that Chris at the Sci-Fi forums actually made quite a powerful and relatively believable argument as to why the Christian 'god' cannot exist. I tend to agree and he outlined many questions I had previously contemplated on myself.

I've settled on a general idea, trying to refine a question now.
Mainly the fact the USA intended WWII to end as it did, and that it rose to a superpower purely because it manipulated WWII and the aftermath to its advantage - and becoming in 1985 the single world Superpower.

I just have way too many ideas, and such a short time span to settle on a core topic.
