Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I haven't visited BOS cause of the sheer business of honours and SMSSOC stuff. Like - we ran a free BBQ today for our members. It went well.
zomg - where did you hear this from? It really is not that hard to get into honors. I'm pretty sure a WAM of 60 + specialty subjects + your supervisor liking you would guarantee any place in honours.
And also; the project choices are always changing as science moves directions pretty...
negative. http://community.boredofstudies.org/...-commerce.html
Theres been a whole thread about this.
Ummm - I can't remember who posted this; but it went something like "there will be hot chicks at every uni due to having a statisically large sample of people".
Not when I did it...
The difference between higher and essential was that the course was taught the other way around.
For example;
higher chem dd organice chem; essetials did gas and pressure
in 2nd semester
higher chem did gas/pressure + research project; wilst essentials suffered with...
yea - but there are two kind of clubs. There are constituent and there are regular clubs.
Constiuent clubs are usually faculty based. For example, if you did economics you'd automatically be apart of the economics society. If you do chemistry; you'll be automatically apart of SOCs. etc...
Here is her answer:
"you don't need it but its probably good to do it just to get a grasp on stuff. first semester physics is tough though, even people who did hsc physics struggled in it. but as long as you listen in lectures, do your tuts and read the textbook its fine. and don't cheat in...
It'd be similar. Its hard to say which is better though... It depends how good the teaching is in in each subject. I haven't been to UOW; so I can't comment on it. Most of the subjects taught in UNSW are pretty solid.
either or. If neuro is your thing; go unsw. They just spent like a couple of million revamping the whole neuro labs (whilst hey were building the lowy cancer centre). They look pretty sick; and the neuro gys are cool, friendly scientist as well (pascal, richard vickery = v.cool).
I do med sci at UNSW; but seriously people:
"B advanced sci= B science" in real life
Advanced bit is like a freaking marketing gimmick. For those that say 'but USYD says its 3 years!'; I'm pretty sure it would be 4 years with honours. It takes about 3 years to get a fist year student from...
Saw our Q; forwarded your question by fb to a mate whose doing optom.
Ummm... i don't know if physics is compulsory for you guys - but I'd do it cause there is a physics in 1st year chem; and you'd probably get the hang of it better. fwiw; I still did okay in chem without doing any physics in...
I have no idea. Tim's answer > than mine wheni comes to pharm. If I had to guess; I'd say chemistry cause it is drug design you'll probably be going into. But in saying that; I don't think it'll matter at all and you should pick the one that most interest you.
If i know Scif and will...
