2nd year math/actl textbooks: To buy or not to buy?

I've got somebody named Mr Ziveyi. Is what you have the same as what we need this year? (Mathematics of Investment & Credit 5ED, Money and Capital Markets 2E). I need some sleep. I read your post a second time and thought you said the textbook was from the year 2001, lol.

Do you guys think a single commerce degree will get me a job straight away?

Re: USYD ECONOMICS VS UNSW ECONOMICS? I really doubt there's any significant difference, just pick which you'd like to go to based on location, societies, etc. Check the cut-offs for which is easier, what kind of question is that?

2nd year math/actl textbooks: To buy or not to buy?

Alright I see the formula book you're talking about (Formulae & Tables for Actuarial Examinations 2ED yes?). Still not sure about the rest. :/ I think garrry and someguy12 make a good point about overlap between MATH2901 and ACTL2002, so maybe I can do fine without the textbooks for ACTL2002 so...

2nd year math/actl textbooks: To buy or not to buy?

I just realised that you're right and that makes my question kind of stupid. Well I'll hold out for advice on ACTL but I think they're probably needed.

I remember on facebook your profile used to be facebook.com/maturelamb or something along those lines.

2nd year math/actl textbooks: To buy or not to buy?

This semester I'm gonna be taking MATH2301, MATH2901, ACTL2001 and ACTL2002. MATH2301 doesn't have any prescribed texts, but for the others I was wondering if people who've taken the courses recommend buying the prescribed textbooks. I ask because last year I bought the prescribed textbook for...

MATH1151 Asoc Prof Womersley and Tran - Actuarial Studies

Tran and Womersly were both great lecturers IMO. Tran's accent isn't that bad, you can understand him easily enough, but the way he says function will probably get a few laughs. He doesn't really cover MATLAB at all in any of his lectures (Womersly demonstrates uses of MATLAB in just about every...

To WileyPlus or Not? ACTUARIAL STUDENTS READ HERE - MATH1151

I bought the textbook new from the bookshop last year when I did MATH1151 and it's still wrapped in the plastic today. Do not even think of buying that textbook, you won't use it. If you'd like to buy it anyway though, I happen to have an unused one still wrapped in the plastic! Interested?

    TEXTBOOK ADVICE

You'll definitely need the textbooks for ACCT1501 and ECON1101, I took those and the textbooks were used quite a lot. Can't say for the others. While I'm here, I have a 2nd hand copy of the ACCT1501 textbook (unfortunately my econ book is 2nd edition, not 3rd). I'll sell it to you for $50 if you...

B Medical Science vs B Science

Thanks. I've pretty much made up my mind then, I'll set B Medical Science and B Science both at UNSW as my top preferences (unless there's a better course at UNSW I come across).

    Interracial relationships

Great... I mention that my girlfriend's Indian and get ignorant, racist pigs talking about how Indians "smell like curry". No she doesn't smell, dickhead.

    What is love ?

When I saw this thread I immediately thought of replying with the next part of the song. But alas, 12 pages of replies and that was the first one. I am much too late. :(

    Interracial relationships

Well I'm an Aussie guy going out with an Indian girl. I don't generally think of any "race" being better than any other, though tbh most of the girls I've had had a thing for were asian. Well, Vietnamese actually. Every girl I've liked was either Vietnamese, Indian, or (in one case) African. I...

B Medical Science vs B Science

Hey there, I'm currently in year 12 and want to eventually get into Dentistry. I've been looking into it, and as long as I've got a degree I can sit the GAMSAT test and apply for graduate entry (at usyd at least, anyway). The thing is, I've had a good talk with my principal and it looks like I...
