    I get that when you alloy a material your just forcing a bigger element into the bonds of another element. But what does this do to its malleability?

    Copper for wires? and I would put iron over steel, because if the question asks for specifically metals then steel isnt really a metal its an alloy which has 2-5% carbon and the rest Iron.
