Am I dumb or is this true? HSC getting harder and harder each year.

Yes, the English exams have definitely become a lot harder. For some of the questions, it is just hard to adapt your essay to fit the question.

    UTS vs USYD?

Definitely USYD. USYD Commerce has more opportunities and industry connections. USYD is also much more prestigious than UTS, especially if you want to work overseas in the future.

    90+ with no Band 6's

Yes, it is feasible. My ATAR was 91. I only got one band 6 in English, which is 93. And the other 8 units that counted towards my ATAR the mark ranges between 83-89. As long as your subjects scale decently, and your band 5's are high band 5's and very close to band 6, getting over 90 ATAR is...

Am I dumb or is this true? HSC getting harder and harder each year.

Are you sure 3U Maths is getting easier and easier? When I look back at the 2U Maths papers, I feel like it's getting harder and harder each year.

Am I dumb or is this true? HSC getting harder and harder each year.

I did my HSC many years ago back in 2010 and I did alright, with an ATAR in the low 90s. I did tutor (for free, by volunteering at those library HSC help programs, community tutor programs etc.) some kids and helped family friends throughout the years (not consistently, but sometimes when they...

There isn't anymore face to face TAFE that offers the HSC, it's only TAFE Digital which is online and distance ed. It's...

Avoiding the regrets and disapointment of not being able to pick up 3U/4U Maths

Wow, I haven't been here for ages. Recently I have received a few enquiries from some students. So if you encounter the following problems: 1. Your school does not offer Extension Maths due to not enough people wanting to do it etc. 2. You have issues with a timetable clash at school 3. Your...

Do markers discriminate against people who choose a prescribed text as their related?

Re: Do markers discriminate against people who choose a prescribed text as their rela Generally yes. As it shows lack of research and a lazy student. There are so many books, articles , materials out there; why can’t you look beyond? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do markers discriminate against people who choose a prescribed text as their related?

Re: Do markers discriminate against people who choose a prescribed text as their rela If you want to do well, I’ll advise against this. Advanced English students are expected to be motivated to read beyond what’s given. By using a prescribed text, it shows your lack of research and laziness...

Avoiding the regrets and disapointment of not being able to pick up 3U/4U Maths

    Should i drop maths?

DO NOT drop maths! Let me repeat again, DO NOT DROP MATHS! As you go into university, mathematics is needed in chemistry, physics etc especially in a science degree. Even in pharmacy in Usyd people have to take compulsory units to pass the course and it involves integration and things like that...

    4U Math, Tutoring and Stress

TBH; if you want to do engineering, 4U maths is the minimum. Even 3U maths is not enough to cope with first year engineering material. And bridging courses in Uni are generally s*** as they only cover a topic briefly around 1 hour and not all of the people who teach bridging courses are...

I can't tell if my private tutor is helping?

TBH, $80 is A LOT for this type of service. It seems like a rip off. Is your current tutor a school teacher? Uni students aren’t that bad, especially for state rankers, as they know what to do to get the top marks and can give specific analysis and feedback. You can seriously find a cheaper rate...

USyd Commerce (Dalyell) or UNSW BCom/BIS? Help

I would choose USYD since Dayell scholars is a scholarship program and it’s prestigious and good for your CV. Whereas UNSW BCom/BIS is just an ordinary degree. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Are Bachelor of Arts Courses useful?

TBH, unless you want to go into the academic field for a certain Arts unit or taking some subjects as interest, Arts is quite useless to get a respectable job. Usually people combine it with another degree. Straight Arts will not get you far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Transferring to USYD from ACU. Worth? (BCom)

Well, I guess you're lying to others and yourself. A lot of grad positions in top companies requires your uni GPA and ATAR. Why would they hire a 50 ATAR and credit average student at ACU, as opposed to a 99 ATAR and high distinction average student at USYD/UNSW.

    Thoughts on Creative Degrees

Tbh, IF you're a graphic designer ,art director, fashion designer etc. you'll definitely get a job, although it's competitive, but it can be done if you're good and passionate enough. But if you're a fine artist, then that might be harder. I think the animation artists, graphic designers are...
