find the area bounded by the curve y= sqrt (4-x^2), the x axis and the y-axis in the first quadrant.
I found the x intercepts which are +2 and -2
but we only need -2 and 0 because we are finding it in the first quadrant
what's the next steps?
please show working out!! :)
so when i use the quadratic formula, i get x = -3 and x= 1/2
but when i use the quadratic factorising method, i get the wrong answers!
can someone help me please?
how do i get the right answer using the quadratic factorising methid ?
I'm so confused with inflection and horizontal inflection
are they the same thing?
what is the best way to see if there is a horizontal inflection. by using the first derivative, with the test of turning points
or the second derivative, with the test for concavity?
please help with these questions.
show working out please! :)
1. Find the point of intersection of the normals to the parabola x^2 =-12y at the points (4, -1 1/3) and (-2, -1/3)
2. a. Find the equation of the tangent to the parabola x^2 =12y at the point P (6,3). ( the answer is x-y-3=0...
Find the value of n for which the equation (n+2)x^2 +3x-5=0 has one root triple the other
can you please show the working out for the whole question
i tried doing it before but it didn't work out
thanks
would someone very lovely answer this questions for me and show the working out?
find the exact value of f''(2) if f'(x) = x times by the square root of (3x-4)
muchly appreciated! please and thankyou :)
sketch a function with f'(x)>0 for x<2, f'(2)=0 and f'(x)<0 when x>2
so i know what the sketch looks like as seen from the answers, but i do not know why it's like that.
can someone please explain to me how to interpret questions like these? please!
i don't understand these types of...
